HTC Vive buyers now get Fallout 4 VR for free

Fallout 4 VR. Doom VR. Skyrim VR. Whether or not they turn out good, it’s safe to say Bethesda’s upcoming slate of VR titles mark virtual reality’s biggest software launch since…well, ever. Three well-regarded and “full-length” games, all ported in full—and exclusive to the HTC Vive, at least on the PC side. HTC’s taking full advantage of the situation, announcing today that from now ... Read More »

Star Wars Battlefront’s season pass DLC given away for free as we barrel towards the sequel

The new Star Wars Battlefront II is mere months away, and back at E3 I said it seemed “like the game we should’ve received two years ago.” We won’t be able to tell for sure until review time, but space battles? All three eras of current Star Wars canon? A singleplayer campaign? Yeah, it’s a damn sight better than the Star Wars Battlefront half-game we got in 2015. THE ... Read More »

Wi-Fi cameras have revolutionized home security, but they have one obvious limitation—they require a Wi-Fi connection to function. Doom’s free DLC unleashes hell on hard drives as a ludicrously large update

Thank goodness I didn’t have Doom installed. Earlier this week we reported on Bethesda’s sort-of magnanimous gesture to give away all of Doom’s DLC for free—the catch of course being that Doom only had DLC for its lackluster multiplayer mode. Still, it’s free right? So what’s the problem? It’s a 34GB update, give or take. MENTIONED IN THIS ARTICLE Doom – PC $19.93MSRP $39.99 VIEW on Amazon Earlier this ... Read More »
