Asia’s biggest biking festival that goes by the name India Bike Week (IBW) is all set for its 2017 edition starting 24th November. Motorcyclists across the country will riding down to Goa to attend the highly awaited event. India Bike Week is also one of the most important events for two-wheeler manufacturers in India as it provides them a platform to launch their offerings. The 2017 edition is no different and there will be a number of bikes that will be launched at the annual affair. Interestingly, all of them are big bikes and are expected to pump up the adrenaline rush of the visitors even more. The India Bike Week was hosted for the first time in the year 2013 and hence, the coming event will be the fifth edition of IBW. The two-day event will see a lot of activities like Bikini bike wash, training acdemics with enduro and barbeques. The chief guest for 2017 IBW is Leslie Porterfield, better known as the world’s fastest woman on two-wheels.
Indian Scout Bobber
The Indian Scout Bobber is all set to be launched tomorrow at a starting price of Rs 13.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Ahmedabad). The images of the India-bound model have been revealed by us a couple of days back. The motorcycle gets a minimalistic body styling and takes its design inspiration from its elder Scout siblings. Powering the Indian Scout Bobber is a 1131cc, twin cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gearbox, churning out 99 hp of power and 97.7 Nm of torque. The salient features of the bike include chopped front and rear fenders, knobby tyres and an all black theme.

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster
The Triumph Speedmaster is basically an extension of the British manufacturer’s Bonneville family and is based on the Bobber. Powering the Speedmaster is a 1200cc, liquid-cooled, paralllel twin engine that produces 76 hp of power and 106 Nm of torque. The motorcycle gets an ANti-Lock Braking System (ABS) as standard, a switchable traction control system, torque assist clutch, engine immobiliser and one touch cruise control. The Triumph Speedmaster is expected to be launched at a price nearing Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).

BMW K 1600 B
The BMW K 1600 B is a full faired bagger motorcycle that offers a comfortable and laid back riding position. Powering this bike is a 1649cc, inline six-xylinder engine that generates a ,maximum power output of 158 hp along with a peak torque of 175 Nm. the six-speed transmission gets a quickshifter and a reverse gear as well. The BMW K 1600 B will be making its India debut tomorrow.

BMW R nineT Racer
There is one more motorcycle that the Bavarian automaker will be launching at India Bike Week (IBW) 2017. The BMW R nineT Racer is essentially the stripped down version of the R nineT. The motorcycle receives a retro cowl and the inverted forks upfront from the R nineT have given way to the conventional telescopic units. The motorcycle is powered by a 1170cc, air-cooled, twin cylinder engine that churns out 110 bhp of power and 116 Nm of torque.[“Source-financialexpress”]
