Yamaha Motor India has been keeping its audience happy time to time with the launch of some interesting and respect worthy two-wheelers. This year is also no different and the company has a lot going in mind when it comes to upcoming launches. Out of them, while people are already aware of many, there are some that will be completely new for the masses. While a lot of two-wheelers are expected to be launched this year, there are some whose launch is carried forward to the next year. Having said that, let’s have a look at what Yamaha has to offer in the coming months.
Yamaha Nozza Grande
The upcoming 125cc scooter was spotted a few days back somewhere in Chennai. The Yamaha Nozza Grande has been designed keeping the retro theme in mind and will be second such offering after the company’s Fascino. Powering it, as already said is a 125cc engine, producing respective power and torque outputs of 8 bhp and 9 Nm. Additional features in the Yamaha Nozza Grande include LED Daytime Running lights (DRLs), mobile charging point, bot light and a lot more. The scooter is expected to hit Indian shores in the coming months at an expected price of close to INR 60,000 (ex-showroom).

Yamaha YZF-R3 Facelift
With brutal competition from rivals like KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300, speculations are that Yamaha is planning to launch an updated version of its 321cc sportbike, the YZF-R3. The bike will hopefully get an optional ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) along with some cosmetic updates. If launched, the bike is expected to be retailed with a slightly higher price tag than the existing version that is priced at INR 3.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Yamaha M-Slaz aka MT-15
If things go right, Yamaha might launch the naked version of Yamaha YZF-R15 in the months to come, most probably in the next year. With the 150cc segment in India going on a high, the M-Slaz can be a worthy pick once launched in the country. The bike is expected to be launched at a price of INR 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) and has no direct competition. However, considering the pricing, the bike will lock its horns with the TVS Apache RTR 200 and KTM 200 Duke.
Just like the R15 and its naked sibling, the company might plan to bring the naked version of R3 as well in the Indian market. While the company surprised the laymen at the 2016 Auto Expo by launching the MT-09, we believe that it is now time that Yamaha might be exploring an option to introduce the MT-03 in the Indian market. Once launched, the bike will have a lot of rivals waiting in the form of the upcoming BMW G310R, KTM 390 Duke and Mahindra Mojo. Also Read: Top 5 Cheapest Commuter Bikes Currently on Sale in India.
Yamaha R15 V3.0
After much speculations about Yamaha planning to bring the updated model of its popular sportbike R15, some recent rumours suggest that the motorcycle will be finally hitting the Indian shores next year. The engine will be the same 150cc unit and the major changes will come on the cosmetic and design part. The Yamaha R15 V3.0 will be more muscular and sharp in comparison to its existing form. As far as pricing goes, expect the bike to come at a price of over INR 1.3 lakh, which is slightly higher than its existing version.[“Source-india”]
