However, a report on The Mobile Indian had claimed that users may soon see a JioPhone with dual-SIM capacity and that it will arrive in October. It must be noted that Reliance Jio has not officially announced the dual SIM model of the 4G feature phone. Meanwhile, most of the interested buyers have this question, will the SIM be locked on the Reliance Jio Phone? The JioPhone SIM will technically not be locked, IE report said. But in the Reliance JioPhone, only a SIM in Jio’s network can be used. So, if you already have a Jio SIM and are using it, you can also use it with the Jio Phone.
JioPhone SIM and Data Plans: If you use an older SIM, you will have to recharge with the Rs 153 prepaid pack. This tariff plan is exclusive for the JioPhone.
