With the discontinuation of the old Duster, Renault also pulled the plug on its Adventure edition. But it’s now back! In fact, the new one is based on the Duster facelift that was introduced earlier this year. So it’s more upmarket and packed with more features, while following the carmaker’s previous adventure theme. The following pictures showcase the SUV’s new trendy avatar. Take a look.
No more missing the aggressive look of the Adventure Edition of the Duster! The new one further accentuates the go-anywhere look of the SUV.
To show off its off-roading character, Renault has equipped the front bumper with a skid plate and an extra pair of fog lamps.
The grille is finished in a smoked grey colour with black honey comb mesh. The bold Duster badging on the new bumper accessory housing differentiates it from the standard Duster.
Coming onto the sides, you will notice that there is a compass decal on the D-pillar. The gun metal alloy rims with new wheel arch and door cladding continue to accentuate the car’s aggressive nature.
The Adventure Edition sports an exclusive outback bronze exterior colour, apart from white, silver and grey colour. The special edition also features new roof rails in mustard yellow colour.
The carmaker has made sure the new Duster Adventure edition’s cabin is also adorned with changes that complement the SUV’s stylish exteriors.
The seats are covered with a new denim fabric. This, along with the black fabric on the door trims gets contrast stitching to add to the appeal.
The two tone steering wheel gets adventure badging, while the dashboard gets orange accents around the air-con vents and instrument cluster adding to the vibrancy.
The new Adventure Edition’s interior receives some exclusive touches as well. The denim blue colour can also be seen on the floor carpets with Adventure badging.
Safety features have not been compromised at all. The top-of-the-line version comes equipped with dual front airbags.
The anti-pinch feature for the power windows is carried over. In fact, the Adventure edition comes packed with all the standard features from the regular Duster.
The AMT variant is currently not being offered with the Adventure Edition. So you don’t get hill hold to prevent the car rolling backwards on a hill, but you do get ESP.
Rear parking sensors with a camera come paired to the touch screen system. This makes parking the car in a tight spot very easy.
Renault has also developed a first-of-its-kind app named SmartDrive to maintain a record of the trips and analyse them. It comes with several safety alerts and can scan and save vital documents.
The Renault Duster Adventure Edition will be available in three variants – RXE 85PS, RXL 85PS and RXZ AWD 110PS at Rs 9.64 lakh, Rs 10.45 lakh and Rs 13.77 lakh (ex-Delhi), respectively.
